Session 5- TCOB, Carousing, and Departing Gusakov for the S.U.D.

The party return to Gusakov
They returned Dagmar’s body to the 111th Company of Hirelings and Retainers.
Fecus and Tim split the 100sp cost of the Wergild for Dagmar’s estate. Tim
hires Geoff, gnome and level one rambler. Fecus re-hires Vo, whom has asked
to be hired at a reduced rate (50sp instead of the usual 100sp for hiring a specific
person), and hires Yeoman Klang (level 1 spc)
The party take the metal lizard heart to Fritigern Knecht for appraisal. They
decide to hold onto it for now. As they leave, Fritigern asks if the party has
heard of the enormous treasure located to the SW in the Slumbering Ursine
Dunes. They had not known of the place or the treasure, but quickly devise a
plan to travel there and investigate the claim.
Tim and Fecus split up
Tim trades in the mules for horses and purchases a carriage called the Corvette
Fecus and Baldwin go the sage Kishani’s for language lessons (1 of 3)
Fecus picks up Andrew’s armor at Adalbrecht Adler’s forge
Fecus buys another dog
Tim visits Thora Volkerode’s Bespoke Armory. Puts a down payment, 250sp,
for a custom helm
Tim and Fecus celebrate by drinking too much
Tim wakes up naked inside the Temple of Tycho, the clergy there give him a
robe to wear and directions back to the Golden Grape (400xp for carousing)
Fecus gets into a fistfight (100xp for carousing)
The party departs Gusakov (Tim still quite hung-over) in their new carriage and
have an uneventful ride down to the Slumbering Ursine Dunes
Unable to take the Corvette up the stairs that enter the Dunes area, Vo, two
puppies, and the new dog stay to guard the parked carriage and horses (this
location is between 1 and 3 at the foot of the stairs at 3.
At location 5, a centaur toll taker charges a toll and everyone, but Tim pay quickly.
Tim bickers for a bit with the centaur before paying. After taking the toll, the
centaur gives each character a date stamped shell as a token, proving payment
for entry.
Location 13
Location 8 they meet Oldrich at the head of a giant toppled statue. Oldrich has
healing abilities
Location 17 The party find themselves at The Glittering Tower. A soldier bear is
standing guard outside and welcomes them to the Master’s (Meved) home. The
party surrender their weapons and enter the foyer. They encounter Pan Orso in
the foyer, an elderly soldier bear/major domo. He greets them and quickly goes
back to sleep
