Session 12- A Near Clean Sweep of the Glittering Tower Dungeon

2/13/2022

• Geoff yells up to the party reporting what he sees in room #13… piles 

  of bones and a large tusked hulk in the far corner.  His yelling provokes 

  the hulk, which trumpets like an elephant and charges towards Geoff.  

  Geoff calls to be hauled up, and the party does so swiftly.

• The party decides to explore the room #15.  Voga searches the statue 

  until she activates the secret door to room #17.

• The party charge through the secret door entering a cloud of darkness 

  (continual darkness spell) straight into arrow fire from 7 Eld archers with 

  Arsus taking the only damage in the party, an one Eld archer is killed and 

  2 are injured by friendly fire.  The lead Eld, Xhongo, casts Charm Person 

  against Geoff, but Geoff makes his save.

• Tim casts Faerie Fire, highlighting Xhongo and 2 Eld archers.

• The party concentrate their attacks on Xhongo after seeing him successfully 

  cast Charm Person on Vo.  Several party members deal him damage with 

  Launchpad the dog dealing the killing blow.

• Seeing the swift execution of their leader, the remaining Eld archers surrender 

  to the party.

• A search of room #17 reveals 2 secret doors.

• Geoff and Screwie are tasked with exploring the western secret door.  

  Screwie triggers the pressure plate Geoff identified without injury from 

  the stone block that falls.

• The party drag the block out and take the tunnel to room #18 turning up 

  a bit of treasure. 7 ancient electrum coins, a carved mammoth tusk, 

  and the Lesser Standard of the Old Pahr Wolf-King Vlko.

• Tim and Fecus take the prisoners up to Medved and get their reward 

  (500sp) for clearing the dungeon of Eld.  They sell the mammoth tusk 

  to Medved for 100sp and also get more info about several mysteries 

  they encountered in the dungeon and Dunes 

  (info re: the Forge, the Well, and the Barge).

• The party choose to go to Oldrich’s to spend the night and receive healing for 

  Arsus.  Their plan is to clear the Glittering Tower’s upper floors the next day.

• Xhongo killed = 550xp

• Eld archer killed = 47xp

• Carved (lewd animal gods copulating) Mammoth Tusk (100sp worth) = 100xp

• 7 Ancient Electrum coins (35sp worth) = 35xp

• 500sp reward from Medved = 500xp

• 7000sp taken off of the Eld =7000xp

• Total XP is 8232

• Tim and Fecus get 2744xp each

• Geoff and Vo get 1372xp each
