Rams are concerned about the power level of the Mad Angel
masquerading as an Abbot of the Abbey of St. Markovia in
Krezk. They choose to go to Vallaki first to hire more help and
see if they can learn more about what they might have to deal
with in Krezk.
Before approaching civilization, Victor ends the Animate Dead
spell on Miruna the Zombie and buries her in an unmarked grave.
They enter Vallaki just as night falls. Their first stop is the
Blue Water Inn to see if there is any new gossip to pick up.
Things in Vallaki have been pretty chill since the wine deliveries
resumed. No recent vampire attacks, only a few whispers of
Scarecrows near the Raven River crossroads, and no sightings
of the Skeletal Rider. The only new development is
Ezmerelda D’Avenir is in town searching for her mentor, still.
Yevgeni and Szoldar spend the night in their respective lodgings.
Drasha goes to the Vistani camp. The rest of the team go back to
Victor’s parents house.
Tim, Fecus, Shelby, and Gugula make use of the Burgomaster’s
very impressive library. They find some interesting information
from four books.
History of St. Markovia The history of the Saint’s life and
death and her legacy, the Abbey of St. Markovia
Belakov’s Bestiary of Bizarre Beasts Gugula finds
unexpected knowledge of the power and purpose of Angels.
Lord Argynvost’s Treatise of Military Strategy Contains
a whole chapter devoted to best practices of Religion(s) in
the military. A lot about cohesion and morale. The team's
first exposure to the existence of Mother Night.
Gathered Under the Wings of Mother Night A slim book
bound in plain black leather detailing the beliefs of those
who revere the mysterious Mother Night.
They spend an uneventful night sleeping at the Burgomaster’s
mansion.
