Session 106-  Solstice and the Old God’s Return

• Rams make it back to Oberstdorf in time to begin Solstice 

  celebrations at the Tiefenbach Spa.  Geoph enjoys Solstice 

  ciders, Yuri marvels at the moon in the winter sky, and Fecus 

  is warmed by the holiday festivities.

• The festivities are brought to a halt as a friend of Baldwin’s 

  family bursts into the crowd, child in her arms, screaming for 

  help as a short, blue gnome-like creature chases her while 

  wielding a knife.  Chaos erupts as more of the creatures 

  appear throughout the crowd.

• Rams kill 5 of the 12 Tontuu, the other 7 escape.

• The woman who was fleeing the Tontuu with her child in arms 

  claims the creature made her child ill.

• A priest of the Sovereign’’s local fire faction approaches Rams 

  and informs the brave souls that other children to the north 

  have been reported as falling to the same illness and a 

  floating glacier/ziggurat in the sky has been sighted in the 

  region possibly having a link to the illness.

• The priest blesses Rams with the Sovereign Fire abilities to 

  assist them in their investigation of the glacier/ziggurat that 

  the Tontuu appear to have fled to after wreaking havoc on 

  the celebrations.

• Rams arrive at the floating glacier and are able to climb a rope 

  that is anchored to a stairway that is built up the side of the 

  glacier, killing the lone Tontuu guarding the bottom of the stairs.

• Rams climb the stairs to discover the top layer of the ziggurat, 

  guarded by 3 Tontuu.  Rams fight and kill those Tontuu and 

  enter the ziggurat.

• The first room of the ziggurat is filled with saplings of 

  evergreen trees.

• Down to the next level contains larger evergreen trees and 

  Rams hear strange childlike voices whispering.

• In the 2nd level 2nd room, Rams are attacked by a goat-headed 

  monster and 5 Tontuu.  Rams kill the Joulbok and 5 Tontuu, 

  but at the cost of breaking 2 Spider Blades.

• Down into the 3rd level 1st room, Rams bust down an ice wall 

  to gain access to an amulet and are attacked by a 

  Demonic Ice Guardian that they kill.

• Rams quickly explore the 2nd and 3rd rooms of this level, 

  finding nothing of interest.

• In room 4, Rams encounter 1 Tontuu, 1 Joulbok, and the 

  Old God himself Tjaptar.

• Killing Tjaptar triggers the self-destruction of the glacier/ziggurat.

• Rams escape the disintegrating structure without injury and 

  make it back to the Tiefenbach Spa to learn that the sick children 

  have spontaneously recovered when Rams killed Tjaptar.

• Rams are feted as heroes.

• Fecus, Shelby, and Gugula go forward with some 

  Sovereign Fire powers.

• Fecus = Searing Touch & Flame Form

• Shelby = Empower Fire Magic

• Gugula = Ignite Weapon

• Demonic Ice Guardian killed = 75 XP

• 15 Tontuu killed = 150 XP

• 2 Joulbok killed = 100 XP

• Tjaptar killed = 75 XP

• Ivory Comb 15 GP = 15 XP

• Silver Necklace 25 GP = 25 XP
