Session 28- Meeting the Other Cultists of Graz’zt

4/19/2025

• After what they’ve seen at the dungeon under the grain silo, Danika’s 

  team need a drink and a rest, so they head over to The Devil’s Cup 

  when they walk back into town.

• It’s early evening and quite busy at the bar, but the bartender knows 

  the table in the corner is open and sends the waitress Zuzu over to 

  take their order.  Danika orders 2 pitchers of beer and gets the 

  tavern’s specialty, pasties, for everybody at the table.

• Zuzu still hasn’t seen or heard from her boss, Latka, since the last 

  time the party visited the tavern.  She drops a new bit of information to 

  Danika; Latka is a worshipper of Mammon.  She also admits that her 

  own sister, Zuzaka, is a part of Dobravka’s swinger circle.  Zuzaka and 

  her boyfriend live at Dobravka’s ranch house just southwest of town.  

  Zuzaka’s boyfriend Blazoj and the other man from the swinger circle, 

  Adalfuns, have been loitering around the tannery lately.

• After the refreshments, Danika decides to take the party to investigate 

  Dobravka’s ranch house where they encounter Zuzaka and Kaja just 

  hanging out getting sloppy drunk in the filthy house.  Danika’s team 

  confront the women, who try to cast Command spells to defend 

  themselves, but they’re too inebriated to be effective and Danika’s 

  team knock Kaja out with Sleep.  Then they subdue and question 

  Zuzaka about the dungeon and what happened down there.  Zuzaka 

  claimed that Dobravka was the only person in the circle responsible 

  for the killings of Father Guz and Mirek.  She doesn’t know who killed 

  Dobravka, but suspects Latka.  She doesn’t know that Lonka has been 

  turned to stone by the basilisk or where the basilisk came from for that 

  matter.  Dobravka’s motivation to kill Father Guz was to keep 

  knowledge of the Cult of Graz’zt under wraps.  His motivation to kill 

  Mirek had been financial, he owed Mirek money.  He also owed gobs 

  of money to Latka.  Danika decides to spare the female cultists and 

  tells them they should probably leave the area if they know what’s 

  best for themselves.

• Danika and Co go back to their rooms at the boarding house for an 

  uneventful night’s sleep.

• The next day they go talk to Mila and Krk to deliver the bad news 

  about finding Mirek dead.  Krk wants to take over the tannery and start 

  leather production, again.  He has a few supporters behind him.  

  Danika thinks this is a great idea and tells him she will probably have 

  to clear out the creeps Blazoj and Adalfuns from there before Krk can 

  take over.

• Danika’s team begin a search of the tannery and encounter Blazoj and 

  Adalfuns, who say they are in charge of the tannery, Dobravka left 

  them in charge.  Danika doesn’t take them seriously, and they try to 

  kick her and her team out, but instantly regret it.  Her team eliminates 

  them.

• Blazoj and Adalfuns (Cultists of Graz’zt) killed = 900 XP

• Danika receives 450 XP

• Hinek and Jare each receive 225 XP

The Basilisk in Graz'zt's Pleasure Den

 

Session 27- Grim Discoveries in Graz’zt’s Pleasure Den

3/14/2025

• Danika reconsiders her approach and takes her team out of the 

  dungeon and posts up in the brush on the edge of the woods to 

  observe if anybody comes or goes from the silo.

• This proves fruitless, so she takes her team back into the Silo’s 

  dungeon and they begin exploring down the west side, finding 

  the Pleasure Den of Graz'zt.

• They work their way down a few levels, exploring the features 

  of what appears to be a demonically themed sex club.

• When they reach a room where they access the midpoint of a 

  vertical shaft, they rig up their ropes to climb down and explore 

  some more.

• The bottom of the shaft is a 3 way intersection of halls, the first 

  way they explore is to the west and that contains a library of erotic, 

  demonic, or erotic-demonic tomes.

• Going back to the intersection they move to the south and find the 

  Pleasure Pit of Graz'zt, a large room with an obelisk called 

  Graz'zt Pride on the east end and a long sunken pit that appears to 

  contain mattresses and pillows piled along its sides.

• The pit isn’t lit well and they are hearing scraping noises from it that 

  they choose to investigate.

• Partially down the eastern stairs to the pit they see a stone statue of 

  a reclining woman and a large reptilian creature scraping and pawing 

  at it.

• It’s a Basilisk and it tries to freeze Hinek but they make their 

  Save vs. Paralyze.

• They kill the Basilisk and continue exploring, finding a silver hand 

  mirror with the name Lonka engraved on it in the room that 

  overlooks the Pleasure Pit.

• They explore up the eastern side of the dungeon and re-enter 

  Mammon’s Antechamber.

• Wondering what happens if they put different coins in the stone facade 

  door’s coin slots, someone puts a Silver Piece into the appropriate slot.  

  A Magic Mouth opens in the wall next to the door and says “Thank you 

  for paying your monthly tithe.”

• Curious what will happen with an Electrum Piece, they put one in the 

  slot above the SP’s slot.  A Magic Mouth opens to the other side of the 

  door and says “ You have paid a 1 year tithe to Mammon.”

• Wondering what they could have missed in the part of the dungeon 

  they didn’t explore on the lower levels, they make their way down and 

  find a room containing 3 dead bodies.  Their new companion Jare is 

  able to identify them as Father Guz, Mirek, and Dobravka.

• The bodies of Father Guz and Mirek appear to have been tortured and 

  maybe killed by Dobravka, but no injuries are found on Dobravka’s 

  body.

• Danika decides that they need to leave the dungeon and go talk to 

  one of Bad Rajetz’s religious leaders about what they have found.

• Basilisk killed = 570 XP

Session 26- To Marlinko and Back

10/5/2024

• Danika and her team recruit the tannery apprentice Jare.

• Danika decides she needs to take the team to Marlinko to 

  hire more help and equip Jare.

• Danika hires Hinek the Teal and Pholos of the 

  Order Knights Medical from the Guild of Condotierre in 

  Marlinko.

• Danika speaks to Franticek to get advice for dealing with the 

  fiendish cults of Bad Rajetz.

• Danika and the team only encounter large crowds during the 

  day in Marlinko.  In the evening as they leave, they see about 

  8 young couples promenading through the neighborhood.

• Back in Bad Rajetz, watches are set and no watch encounters 

  occur.

• As early as possible, Danika and the team walk to the grain silo 

  and enter it, making it as far as the Old Pahr mural room.

Session 25- Bad Rajetz Rumors of Demon Worship and Devil Worship; 

RIP Cheryl T.

9/14/2024

• Danika asks the tannery apprentice if she and her crew can 

  investigate the office.  He allows them to do so.

• Zora examines the nearly empty inventory shelves, Hachiro 

  goes through the drawers of the desk, and Danika sifts through 

  the paperwork on top of the desk.  Hachiro finds Dobravka’s 

  “Pleasure Gear” and Danika finds past due invoices from the 

  general store and The Devil’s Cup.

• Danika asks the apprentice why he hasn’t gone home and is 

  staying at the tannery.  The apprentice had been sponsored 

  by Father Guz to board with a family, but when Father Guz 

  went missing and missed payment to the family they kicked 

  the boy out.  Danika asks the apprentice if there is an inn or 

  somewhere to stay in town.  He tells her of a boarding house 

  two doors down from The Devil’s Cup.  Danika offers to let the 

  boy come with her and her team to the boarding house and he 

  agrees to accompany her.

• The boarding house is run by a cheerful widower.  He rents 

  them a suite on the 3rd floor for 30 SP.  Danika orders food 

  for the boy.

• Danika and her crew learned some suspicious activity might 

  have occurred around the Ancient Tower used as a grain silo.  

  It’s a 5 minute walk north of Bad Rajetz.  They arrive at twilight 

  and look for clues.

• 3 Redcaps come out of a stand of trees about 30 feet from the 

  tower, sniffing the ground.  Danika and her team get into combat 

  with the Redcaps and it’s brutal.  Hachiro and Hurley are nearly 

  lost and Cheryl Tiegz is killed.

• After finishing off the Redcaps, Danika and Co bury Cheryl Tiegz.

• After the burial they enter the silo and go through the trap door 

  in the floor.

• Stairs lead down to another door; behind it lies a hallway.

• They examine the first room.  It’s decorated with forest scene 

  murals on the walls and an Old Pahr obelisk.

• Further down the hallway they encounter 2 locked doors.

• Hachiro unlocks one that leads to a perpendicular hallway.  

  They find a luxurious bedroom with a mirror on the ceiling and 

  a box of “Pleasure Gear” peeking out from under the bed.

• Stairs lead down near the door of the explored bedroom; 

  Danika and Co choose to turn back to explore the other locked 

  door.

• Behind that locked door lies a large room.  It contains an altar 

  on the far end in front of a stone arch in the wall framing a fresco 

  of a pile of coins.  

• Under the representation of the coins is a small slot.  Danika 

  puts a copper piece in and a coin in the fresco glows briefly.  

  Danika puts in a silver coin and a similar effect happens, this 

  time lighting up a different coin.

• An imp flies into the room with Danika and Co from the door 

  they entered through, it shapeshifts into a rat and runs around 

  the room sniffing everyone, then it runs out of the room, 

  shapeshifting into a spider.  It runs back into the room and 

  it has a conversation with them.  Informs them that they are 

  in Mammon’s Antechamber.  And down the stairs is the realm 

  of Graz’zt’s worshippers.

• Hurley, already shaken from the death of the lovely and 

  courageous Cheryl Tiegz, turns paperwhite when he learns 

  that both devils and demons seem to be involved in the current 

  situation.

• Danika decides it would be best to go back to the boarding 

  house to discuss the situation and sleep.

• 3 Redcaps killed = 2100 XP
