Session 210- A Return to Barovia Part 60; Lamordia 9

A voice (presumably Dr. Viktra Mordenheim) comes over the
loudspeaker telling them to leave the Flesh Golems alone.
It directs them to climb the stairs where her servant
Hauptmann Frantz will open the trapdoor and lead them to
her laboratory. They do so and Hauptmann Frantz leads
them up to the third floor of the stately home that is dusty
and unmaintained.
Viktra asks Tim (passed), Fecus (passed), Gugula (passed),
Shelby (fail, next Save Vs. Magic will have a -2 applied), and
Victor (passed) a question and it requires a Save Vs. Magic that
everyone but Shelby passes. Those that pass detect that this is
some sort of simulation (Mind Flayer cognitive model) and they
let it play out.
The simulation freezes, Viktra repeats herself, her voice desyncs,
etc. She states “Elise should not still be discrete.”
Elise then arrives seemingly out of nowhere and asks “Where do
you go when thought becomes a cage?”
She opens 3 portals and asks Rams to choose the location they
proceed to next: Borca, Darkon, and Bluetspur are the choices.
Tim and Fecus choose to pursue the Cloak of the Bat in
Bluetspur…
As the party departs, the Viktra simulation smiles at Elise and
says “ Iteration complete.”
