Rams vs Vampire Spawn

 

 

Session 154- A Return to Barovia Part 5

12/8/2024

• Gugula gets through the door without suffering further attacks and Tim 

  Wizard Locks the door.  Tim, Fecus, and Shelby chose to wait for 

  Gugula, instead of running to the guards without her.  Tim gives 

  Gugula a Healing Potion.

• Rams choose to look for Town Guards at the Town Square; the scene 

  when they arrive is gruesome with the Vampire Spawn, that was 

  Turned by the Icon of Ravenloft, feeding on a woman in the stocks.  

  A lone guard is at the other edge of the Town Square yelling for 

  backup to deal with Vampires.  Rams attack the Vampire Spawn and 

  nearly have it killed when a pair of Town Guards arrives to help.  

  1 Town Guard is killed, the other deals the killing blow to the 

  Vampire Spawn.

• With the surviving guard, Rams return to the Coffin Maker’s and enter 

  the room Tim had magically locked, finding only 1 Vampire Spawn, 

  when they had locked 5 within.

• They kill the single Vamp Spawn, then they go into Henrik’s room to 

  look for the remaining Vamp Spawn.

• They find 4 Vamp Spawn that had attacked and killed Henrik 

  the Coffin Maker.  Vamps and Rams fight…. Rams are on the 

  last Vamp when another Town Guard shows up to deal a killing blow 

  on the last Vampire.

• During the fight, Shelby uses Cure Disease to turn one 

  Vampire Spawn into a human.

• She casts some horrific Commands on him and due to self injury he is 

  on the verge of bleeding out when another TG shows up and puts him 

  out of his misery.

• 6 Vampire Spawn killed = 10,800 XP

• 5000 EP = 2500 XP

• 11,000 GP = 11,000 XP

• 400 PP = 4000 XP

Session 15- Franticek Wants a Ring From the Tree Maze of the 

Twisted Druid Part 1

• Go to Marlinko to buy a scroll from Franticek.  He wonders if 

  Danika and Co would fetch a ring from the Tree Maze of the 

  Twisted Druid.

• They arrive at the Tree Maze.

• They give Stumpy a ration.

• Fight 7 Green Men.

• Fight 5 Green Men.

• 12 Green Men killed = 120 XP

• 77 EP = 38 XP

Vampire Spawn Attack!

 

 

 

Session 153- A Return to Barovia Part 4

12/1/2024

• Rams go back to the Bluewater Inn and learn from Danika Martikov 

  that Rictavio has left town.  This is confirmed by a town guard off duty 

  and in for a drink.  The guard saw Rictavio leave by the Sunset Gate.

• Rams nap, then go to St. Andral’s and question Father Lucien about 

  the bones.  He has Rams question the orphan, Yeska.  Yeska thinks 

  that Milivoj the groundskeeper/gravedigger stole the bones to sell.

• Rams and Father Lucien visit Milivoj and question him regarding the 

  bones.  He sold them to Henrik Van Der Voort, the coffin maker. 

• Rams accompany Father Lucien back to the church, then go to the 

  coffin maker’s to investigate.

• At the coffin maker’s, Fecus uses his X-Ray ring to recon the building 

  a little.  They think they know where Henrik is sleeping and also have 

  a lead on the St’s bones.

• They enter the building and go to the second floor filled with crates.  

  They go to open a crate to check for bones when they are attacked by 

  6 Vampire Spawn that burst out of crates in the room.

• The Icon of Ravenloft repels one of the Vampire Spawn like 

  Turn Undead.

• The fight goes on for a while, knocking Gugula out twice.

• Tim, Fecus, and Shelby decide to go get the town guards, Gugula 

  covers their retreat…

• The villagers come back with x-bow, 15 bolts, brass tubing, and 

  sundry farm supplies.

• Danika completes the spyglass and fits it to the xtra heavy x-bow.  

  She also makes the 15 bolts incendiary capable.

• Robin Payload (distributed to Rams session #83).

• Extra heavy X-Bow & Bolts (15)

• 10 Growth Elixirs

• 5 Extra Healing Potions

• 30 Incendiary Vials

• 1 Brick of Hruz (400 doses)

• Rams awaken and go down to continental breakfast, hoping to meet 

  Rictavio.  They learn from Danika he packed up and left early.

• They visit Blinsky and learn (via ESP) that Izek Strazni, the 

  Burgomaster’s henchman, is the person ordering the Ireena dolls.  

  They order the following dolls:

• Ireena x10 = 10 GP

• Fecus x2 = 2 GP

• Tim x2 = 2 GP

• Gugula x2 = 2 GP

• Tentacle x2 = 2 GP

• Aura the Owl x1 = 1 GP

• They visit St. Andral’s Church and meet Father Lucian Petrovich.  

  Again using ESP, Rams learn information… Father Lucian is stressing 

  out over the theft of the Bones of St. Andral.

• Rams are developing a plan to “enter” the Burgomaster’s Mansion 

  and investigate Izek Strazni’s quarters this evening.

Session 13- Revenge of the Cracked Shell Cultists?

7/15/2023

• Last of lab equipment has arrived.

• Children run into Ctyri Ctvrt w/ Petya.  Bedrich the Willing has been 

  killed!

• Cultists of the Cracked Shell storm the village, but Danika and Co kill 

  all but 1 who says “There is a snail under every leaf.” Which means 

  there are other temple locations.  And “The Mother speaks through 

  her sacrament.”  Hruz is the sacrament.

• One temple is further east.

• One temple is far to the southwest.

• Robin has arrived with an update from Rams.

• Magic weapons (1 1d4+2 Dagger, and 8 1d6+1 Scimitars)

• 20 Doses of Hruz

• 10,000 GP = 10, 000 XP

• Cult Fanatic killed = 250 XP

• 8 Cultists killed = 200 XP

• Total XP = 10,450 XP
