Session 140- Geoph and Ewald Choose Astral Space; 

Rams Kill A Mindflayer

8/18/2024

• Tim and Fecus have had some time to observe the Astral Reavers, 

  and Fecus notices a difference in the dynamics and mood of the 

  Reavers since reuniting with them after the teleport pads on Lvl 4.  

  The tension is high, especially between H’Raon and Idilac.

• As the Rams are regrouping from fighting the Phycomids, a terrible 

  sound emerges from the Astral Reavers.  It’s a shocking scene as 

  Idilac’s skin peels away and a creature with 4 tentacles emerging from 

  its face (Mind Flayer) steps toward H’Raon menacingly.

• Fecus’ prior spidey senses allow him to get the drop on the Mind Flayer.  

  He activates his crazy Sovereign Fire powers of Searing Touch and 

  Form of Fire and flies forward to give the former Idilac a toasty hug.

• Other notable attacks are Gugula rolling 29 DMG with the Spider Pike 

  and Shelby delivers the killshot with her Mace of Terror.

• Cutting to Ewald and Geoph, they ask Jeler if they can be willing 

  crew members on the “Squished Fox”.  Surprised, she agrees and 

  asks them to follow her to the command deck to await the 

  Salvage Team.

• Ewald asks if he can do a quick walk through of the ship and Jeler 

  allows him.  Ewald slips out of the ship and stashes the Mind Flayer 

  broken device and a coded message that conveys that they are 

  leaving with the Reavers willingly, but hope to reunite with Rams.  

  He slips back on the ship as a door to the hangar opens.  He makes 

  it back to the command deck.  The Salvage Crew arrives and Jeler 

  gives over command to Gadath.

• Cutting back to Rams, as Rams defeat the Mind flayer, H’Raon and 

  his crew teleport out of Dwimmermount.  Fecus steps over to the door 

  to the hangar and uses his x-ray ring to view the “Squished Fox” also 

  flash out.

• Rams enter the empty hangar and Fecus finds a fungal creature 

  corpse with a funny hat that Sigrun recognizes as one she gifted 

  to Ewald.  Fecus finds the message and item Ewald left for him.

• Mind Flayer killed = 2900 XP

• Tim and Fecus each receive = 966 XP

• Kruluzax and Gugula each receive = 483 XP

   

  8/19/24 The Perchance prompt for Fecus with his Sovereign Flame 

  powers enabled, heavily armored and masked male fire mage, flying, 

  engulfed in flames, holding a black flame sword, fire everywhere. Fecus

  is a Specialist in Lamentations of the Flame Princess terms, but I thought

  I would get more desirable results really emphasizing fire in the prompt

  description.

Session 139- Trying To Check In On Geoph And Ewald

8/11/2024

• After the fight with the Seekers, Rams decide it’s time to go back 

  up to Lvl 0 to check in on Geoph and Ewald.  They take the 

  elevator up and begin navigating the fastest route through the 

  hallways.

• Jumping to Geoph and Ewald, they complete their language 

  lessons with Jeler and learn she did salvage missions before 

  joining H’Raon’s crew.

• Jeler wakes Geoph and Ewald up in the middle of the night and 

  explains that H’Raon has sent a team to help her take the 

  “Squished Fox” out of Dwimmermount.  She has been ordered to 

  charm Geoph and Ewald and use them as crew or kill them if the 

  Charm approach is unsuccessful.  Since they saved her life, she is 

  unable to follow through and is giving them a chance to escape.

• Cutting back to Rams, they enter Room #17 and enter the hallway 

  that takes them to the hanger, encountering 2 Phycomids that give 

  them a rough combat, infecting Kruluzax and Red Sigrun.  Ferika, 

  Gigurg, and Fecus take damage from themselves because of 

  Players rolling 1’s.  

• Shelby casts Cure Disease on Kruluzax and Red Sigrun, saving 

  them from dying and turning into Phycomids.

• 2 Phycomids killed = 270 XP

• 84 CP

• Tim and Fecus each receive = 90 XP

• Kruluzax and Gugula each receive = 45 XP

  I'll begin to leave my prompt descriptions for the Perchance images.... 

  this week's prompt for the Phycomid was rolling fungus ball monsters 

  that shoot acidic spores.

Session 138- Melissia and the Wererats/Former Wererats Leave 

Dwimmermount.  Rams Vs. The Seekers.

8/4/2024

• Sigrun wants to go back to being female, so Rams go back to 

  Room #62, that contains the Alteration Bed.  Sigrun is female again, 

  but the machine won’t reverse her hairless condition. Fecus changes 

  his skin to dark blue.

• Rams meet up with Krishka and the Wererats in Room #42.  

  About a dozen of the Wererats beg Shelby to cure them.  

  Shelby and Ferika take them to the Alteration Bed in Room #62 

  and use it to cure the Wererats of their Lycanthropy.  Shelby 

  “accidently” turns an annoying old woman dark blue.

• Rams lead Melissia and the group of Wererats/Former Wererats 

  to Level 1 Room #1 and Melissia kisses both Tim and Fecus on the 

  cheek and then she waltzes out through Tim’s Wizard Locked door.

• Tim casts Knock to let Krishka and her folks out of Dwimmermount.  

  He and Fecus encourage the folks to go find Boy’s farm up by 

  Star Notch if they want agricultural work.

• Rams encounter the Seekers (an adventuring group out of Muntburg) 

  back at the elevator.  Rams tell the Seekers to leave Dwimmermount 

  and the Seekers respond to Rams threat with violence.  

  The Seekers’ leader, Ysabelon, turns Invisible and escapes while 

  Rams kill the remaining 4.

• Richal F5 killed = 200 XP

Session 137-  Geoph, Ewald, and Jeler Fight A Mind Flayer

7/28/2024

• Geoph, Ewald, and Jeler are bunking on the abandoned 

  Astral Reaver ship, the “Squished Fox” in the hangar on Lvl 0.

• Jeler begins instructing Geoph and Ewald on the ship’s systems.  

  I ran 5 part progress clocks for the 2 characters.  They each had 

  1 fail and 4 successes and their failures were not on the same 

  systems so there was coverage on all systems operations.

• After the 5th learning module is completed, everyone is at their 

  leisure.  Geoph has rigged a hammock up on the bowsprit, Ewald 

  has found a compartment where he can practice his lockpicking 

  and other specialty skills.  Jeler is meditating in her quarters.  

  Geoph witnesses a Mind Flayer enter the hangar, which has all 

  entrances Wizard Locked.

• Geoph silently goes below deck to warn Jeler and Ewald.

• Jeler instructs Geoph and Ewald to begin manning defensive and 

  offensive systems.  Geoph turns the Shield on.

• The Mind Flayer gets blasted when trying to open the hatch, then 

  recovers and begins operating an unknown device.  Then the 

  Mind Flayer disappears from view.

• Jeler screams, the Mind Flayer has teleported to the main deck 

  while Jeler is sending emergency comms to H’Raon and his ship.

• The Mind Flayer moves to kill Jeler with a tentacle, Geoph and 

  Ewald show up and Geoph Magic Missiles the Mind Flayer.

• The Mind Flayer uses Mind Blast on Jeler and kills her.

• Geoph fires another Magic Missile and Ewald, who drank an 

  Invisible Potion, sneaks up and revives Jeler.

• When Jeler is revived she casts the killing Magic Missile.

• Mind Flayer killed = 2900 XP

• Geoph and Ewald each receive 1450 XP
