Session 84-  Terms Agreed To; Can You Show Us How You Kill Witches?

8/6/2023

• The reaction roll for Telthys Forrat  is 3 (unfriendly).  She is usually a 

  master of her emotions, but she wrinkles her nose in disgust and says 

  “I told you James, that these easterners are barbarians.”

• James replies “You’ve traveled enough to know Telthys that there is a 

  wide variety of cultural experiences.”

• She says “You’re on your own here James.”  She stalks off.

• Rams agree to the terms of diplomacy with Sir James Spens.

• He asks them to demonstrate their witch hunting skills by traveling up 

  to Neuendorf to investigate the sorcerous activity up there.

• Rams agree to leave for Neuendorf the following morning.  They spend 

  the night in the house Jens acquired for them in Karlstadt.

• Sister Gretl visits them that night and they contribute 20 GP to help her 

  build a Church of the Reformation.

• A young woman tells Rams that her toddler has been kidnapped and 

  they read the ransom note which asks for money to be taken to the 

  Old Braasch Farm outside Neuendorf.  Rams agree to look into it.

• When Rams, James Spens, and Telthys Forrat arrive in Neuendorf 

  they meet an old woman named Frau Foerster who tells them about 

  the Old Braasch Farm and the evil that occurred there when she was a 

  girl.

• The group takes the path down to the Old Braasch Farm and 

  investigate.

• When they arrive they hear weird noises in the forest and around the 

  barn.

• Geoff and Robin fly over the forest and see tubes in some of the trees.

• The barn has tubes in the door’s frame.

• The group enters the barn and Geoff and Robin go up to the hayloft.

• 2 “zombies” pop up to attack Geoff and Robin.  Geoff blasts them with 

  Magic Missile.

• A tunnel is discovered that goes from the hayloft to the house cellar.

• 5 bandits and a toddler are in the first room of the cellar.

• They try to sell the toddler to Rams.  Then they attack Rams.

• Rams kill the men and save the toddler who is Baby Jochen, the 

  child of the young woman in Karlstadt who asked Rams to investigate 

  his kidnapping.

• Mohl killed = 10 XP

• 6 Bandits killed = 30 XP

Session 83-  Robin Returns.  Rams Do Diplomacy?

• Rams receive some healing from Abbess Waltraud and a few of her 

  clerics.

• She tells Rams she would like to see the witch persecutions end.

• Geoff’s Robin arrives with stuff from Ctyri Ctvrt.

• Extra Heavy X-bow and 15 bolts

• 10 Growth Elixirs

• 5 Extra Healing Potions

• 30 Incendiary Vials

• 1 Brick of Hruz

• Update Letter on Ctyri Ctvrt

• Rams visit Piri and he mentions his Dwarven Expedition has gone 

  missing in Dwimmermount.  He also mentions the protection payment 

  he and other merchants have been paying Marina Rodemus.  Rams 

  purchase more potions from Piri.

• Rams pick up an old and a young witch from the inquisition holding 

  pens.

• Rams arrive in Karlstadt and catch up with Jens and Father Gunther 

  who inform them of the Swedish Army Diplomatic Envoy camped just 

  north of the refugee camp.

• Tim, Fecus, Ferika, and Gigurg go to the Envoy’s tent and meet 

  James Spens and Telthys Forrat.

• Fecus presents Telthys with 3 dead (half burned half rotten) squirrels.

Session 82-  Wererats Are Tough.  Close Wurzburg’s Gates.

• 1 Wererat escapes and 15 (including the 5 from session #81) 

  Wererats are killed.

• Everybody on Rams team who was killed are restored to life by 

  Guimar and Abbess Waltraud.

• Rams, Captain Erwin, and Commander Sprenge persuade 

  Abbess Waltraud to allow all but 1 city gate to be closed.

• 15 Wererats killed = 3750 XP

• 15,000 CP = 150 XP

• 7000 SP = 700 XP

• 7000 EP = 3500 XP

• 4 Gems = 170 GP = 170 XP

Session 81-  Resupply, Then Carouse.  Then Fight Wererats?!?

• Rams buy arrows from Yakov Brassfist.

• Rams buy healing potions from Piri.

• Tim takes his hirelings to carouse at the Moody Mermaid.

• Tim is made the bartender after the MM bartender died drinking.

• Ferika makes a charming fool of herself.

• Sasha loses a fight and gets a broken nose.

• Gugula is given a Geas from her deity.

• Geoff’s cousin Ramblin’ Randy shows up unexpectedly.

• Fecus takes his hirelings and Baldwin to carouse at the Owl’s Bathtub.

• Fecus becomes best friends drinking with Capt Erwin.

• Kruluzax wins 890 GP gambling.

• Yaroj wins 604 GP gambling.

• Gigurg wins 650 GP gambling.

• Sigrun wakes up afterward with a Mind Control Potion.

• Baldwin informs Fecus he is returning to his ancestral 

  homeland in Oberstdorf after the Diplomacy Mission.

• 16 Wererats attack the clientele of the Owl’s Bathtub for silver.

• Fecus, Baldwin, and hirelings start fighting the wererats.

• After a few rounds, Tim and Co. are alerted to the fight and leave the 

  Moody Mermaid to join Fecus and Co. in the fight.

• 5 Wererats are killed this session.

Session 80-  Delivering the Heads, Collecting the Reward

7/9/2023

• The 3 feral dogs are a liondog and 2 truffle dogs.

• Rams go to the Marienberg Fortress where they reunite with 

  Daniau and he introduces them to Commander Sprenge 

  and Captain Erwin. Rams overhear Captain Erwin lamenting

  to Commander Sprenge that his city guard haven't been paid

  in several weeks due to Prince Bishop Hatzfeld fleeing

  Wurzburg. 

• Commander Sprenge asks Rams if she can put the 

  Group of 7’s heads on pikes on the city wall and Rams say yes, 

  but they must get paid by Prince Bishop Hatzfeld first.

• Commander Sprenge asks if Rams are willing to go do diplomacy 

  with the Swedish Army’s Envoy and Rams agree, but they need 

  to re-supply and recover for a day.

• Daniau takes Rams to meet Abbess Waltraud who represents 

  Prince Bishop Hatzfeld (who has fled Wurzburg for Cologne).

• She tells Rams that there is a puzzlebox in Hatzfeld’s office that 

  contains the Rams’ payment.

• Rams solve the puzzlebox and receive their reward.

• Rams take the heads to Commander Sprenge.

• She offers weapons and armor if they need anything.  

  She also offers 2 witches as bargaining chips if needed.

• Rams go to visit Captain Erwin.  Tim and Fecus donate 

  1000 GP to the city guard to pay their salary which is several weeks in 

  arrears.

• 10,000 GP = 10,000 XP

• 1000 GP donation to city guard = 1000 XP

• Total XP = 11,000 XP

• Tim and Fecus receive 3666 XP each

• Gugula and Ornie receive 1833 XP each

Session 79-  Burgerfriedensmiliz Headquarters, Bye for Now?

7/2/2023

• Rams enter the Torture Chamber (Room #22) and kill a Torturer 

  and release 19 prisoners.

• Tim casts Speak with Insects on the 3 Giant Ants and asks them 

  some questions about the extent of the Goblin Hill facility.  The Ants 

  tell Tim about a Secret Chamber dedicated to the Insect God that 

  can be accessed by laboriously breaking through the floor of the 

  Mother’s Quarters.  They mention that there is another Insect God 

  related location in the Karlstadt/Wurzburg corridor.  Rams kill the 

  giant Ants when Tim is done questioning them.

• Tim pays one of the released prisoners to stay and cook for the 

  Engineer.

• 5 C.P.P. are encountered as Rams leave the 

  Burgerfriedensmiliz Headquarters.

• Back at the vehicles, Gerben tells Rams that he detected 

  Swedish Scouts on the road between Gossenheim and Hammelburg.

• Traveling through Gossenheim again, Rams give their contact 

  1 GP for a goat carcass that had been stolen from them as well 

  as a stack of business cards.

• Just north of Wurzburg, Rams encounter a woman who has fled 

  the witch trials being chased by a pack of 9 dogs.  Gunda casts 

  Speak with Animals to hold the dogs off while Tim and Fecus talk 

  to the woman about what is going on in Wurzburg.

• Rams give her a cloak, 1 GP, and a stack of business cards.

• 3 of the dogs decide to stay with Rams.

• At the Wurzburg city gates, Burt and Ernie (city guards) wave Rams 

  through the gates because they recognize Rams from the R.E.S. 's 

  description of them.  Fecus tips them 200 SP.  Burt and Ernie invite 

  Rams to come party with them at the Owl’s Bathtub.

• 6 C.P.P. killed = 30 XP

• 3 Giant Ants killed = 75 XP

• 19 Prisoners rescued = 95 XP

• 1 woman rescued by diverting feral dog pack = 95 XP

• Total XP = 295 XP

• Tim and Fecus receive 98 XP each

• Gugula and Gigurg receive 49 XP each
