Session 211- A Return to Barovia Part 61; Bluetspur 1
2/15/2026
Rams ended the last session thinking they were going through
a portal from Lamordia to Bluetspur, instead find themselves in
their old room at the Bluewater Inn, Vallaki, getting ready for
bed when the postman arrives with 2 letters from M.L. Ruthwell.
No one remembers this guy, but they decide to go to his shack
outside the walls of Vallaki.
Investigating the shack, they find Ruthwell’s research journal
that states Rams brought the Specimen to him initially. In a
secret room in the basement they encounter the Specimen and
a Vampire Mind Flayer.
The Vampire Mind Flayer immobilized everybody except Tim and
Fritigern with a psychic blast. Tim and Fritigern battle the creatures
and eventually prevail. During the fight, the basement door seals
shut and cracks in the walls appear and mist begins to flow from
them.
After the fight, the members of the team affected by the Vampire
Mind Flayer recover and Rams realize they are no longer in the
basement of Ruthewell’s shack. They’re in a tunnel with 2 choices,
we’ll see which way they choose next time!
The Specimen killed = 200 XP
Vampire Mind Flayer killed = 1800 XP

Tim and Fecus each receive 667 XP
