Session 196- A Return to Barovia Part 46

10/11/2025

• After killing the Invisible Stalker, Rams move through Room #37, 

  the study, through the secret door behind the hearth into Room #38.

• Gugula stays in the study while everyone else piles into Room #38, 

  the false treasury.  Fecus fiddles with a wall sconce and releases a 

  poison gas that triggers Save Vs. Paralyze.

• Fecus, Fritigern, and Tim make their saves, everyone else fails.

• Fecus, Fritigern, Tim, and Gugula pull the incapacitated team 

  members back to the study.

• When everyone has recovered from the gas, they go back into 

  Room #38 and find the door to Room #39, the Hall of Webs.

• At the other end of the Hall of Webs they find the door to K40.  

  Fecus is concerned spiders will be in the next room, so he uses 

  a Scroll of Giant Strength and mounts his Magic Carpet.

• They enter K40,the Belfry, and encounter 5 Giant Spiders that 

  really punish Team Rams before they find the door to the treasury.  

  “Spider Smoothie” term gets coined.

• They find the treasury in Room #41!

• They backtrack to the study and then explore the King’s Bedroom, 

  Heroes Hall, bath, and closet.

• Cyrus shows up and reprimands Rams for poking around the 

  King’s Bedroom and closet then asks for help with serving dinner.

• Tim asks Cyrus if there are other prisoners besides the now 

  released Emil Toranescu and if so what does he feed them.

• 5 Giant Spiders killed = 1000 XP

Session 29- Mirek and Father Guz’s Funerals

7/1/2025

• Danika and her team are attending the funerals for Mirek and 

  Father Guz hoping to meet the mysterious mayor.

• Pholos and Hurley split off to go speak to the seamstress Koska.

• Zora and Hynek see Dancing Lights in the woods behind 

  Bad Rajetz’s graveyard.

• Danika and Jare talk to Mirek’s family.

• Hallaberra and Hachiro talk to the waitress Zuzu.

• Zora and Hynek inform Danika about the Dancing Lights in the 

  woods.  She gathers the team to go see what the lights are 

  (the Mayor).

• Mayor Finnegan Nettleblossom reveals himself to Danika and 

  her team.  He gives a bit of the history of himself and the area.  

  He’s a Pixie with a hereditary tie to the town, his mother had 

  been the last mayor.  They protect an entrance to the Fey Realm 

  nearby.  They had an alliance with Latka to protect the entrances 

  to a layer of Hell and the Abyss under the grain silo, but she has 

  gone missing.

• Danika talks Jare into staying behind in Bad Rajetz and guarding 

  the grain silo.

• They take delivery of Lady Szara’s leather costume from the 

  seamstress Koska.

• An uneventful trip to Marlinko.

• They deliver the costume to Mrtvolo, Lady Szara’s butler.  He 

  says the lady is indisposed.

• They visit the Church of St. George in Marlinko to make a 

  donation and talk to the new priest assigned to Bad Rajetz.  

  Danika gives a 100 GP donation to Marika, the new priestess.

• Danika buys a Scroll of Wizard Lock from Franicek.

• It must be courting season in Marlinko, as Danika and Co leave, 

  they’re caught up in a young couples’ promenade.

• An uneventful trip back to Ctyri Ctvrt.  The Orphan Patrol are on 

  point this time and Danika gives them money to go buy candy.

• Checking in with Gary Falcon and Flaka, everything is under control.

• Danika gives the Wizard Lock Scroll to Hurley for him to copy into 

  his spellbook.

   

   

  Perchance Prompt 10/10/25 The Pixie Mayor Finnegan Nettleblossom 

  has shaggy sandy brown hair, a set of green and orange iridescent 

  hummingbird wings, and a shy smile that reveals his dimples. He’s 

  approximately 2 feet tall.

• Cyrus gathers Rams to take dinner trays up to the dining room where 

  the Abbot and everybody else have sat down.

• Yevgeni and Szoldar have safely returned from Vallaki.  The Abbot 

  has news that the young women who had been cured of Lycanthropy 

  were killed by wolves on their way to Barovia.

• Bedtime watch:

• #1 Fecus organizes inventory and changes his clothes.

• #2 Gugula is drinking coffee when a Swarm of Rats attacks.  

  The swarm is killed.

• #3 Semyon is grumbling about rats when a Strahd Zombie 

  attacks.  It is killed.

• Porridge and tea for breakfast then finishing up in the dungeon.

• Fighting and killing Giant Wolf Spiders in Crypt #27.

• Up to Room #36, talk to the Ghost of Pidlwick and fight an 

  Invisible Stalker.

  After killing it, Shelby casts Dispel Evil on the 7 Skeletons and they 

  disintegrate back to loose bones.

• Fight and kill Wights #2 & #3 then 6 Skeletons.  Shelby Heals 

  Fritigern.

• Fight and kill Wights #4 & #5 then 7 Skeletons.

• 5 Wights killed = 3500 XP
