Session 35- Talking to Sillai and Traveling to Marlinko

7/24/2022

• Back on the Golden Barge, Tim and Fecus go talk to Sillai 

  about ship functions.  She requires an Elven language 

  assistant to help her write a technical manual.

• Tim installs a suggestion box in the control room.

• Tim and Fecus decide to travel to Marlinko to hire an assistant 

  for Sillai.

• Rams go to the Guild of Condottieri to find a hireling, but the 

  Guild has no Elven language speakers for hire.

• In Marlinko, they stop by Frantisek’s to talk about Ctyri Ctvrt.  

  Although disappointed he wasn’t brought the giant beet, 

  Frantisek says they are heroes for defeating Smerc and he 

  gives Tim a discount on a new 2nd level spell and informs 

  Rams they’ve made an enemy by clearing out the bandit 

  problem on the highway between Marlinko and Ctyri Ctvrt 

  (Hurloj).  Rams ask if he knows any Elven language speakers 

  they can hire and Frantisek points them to Lachada Unfettered 

  who drinks and gambles at the Drunken Troll.

• Rams go to the Drunken Troll and find Lachada playing cards 

  with 4 others (second-rate mage Mandella, Uma, Barbarella, 

  and “Martin the Fighter”).  She’s about to fold when Fecus buys 

  her back in for 3 gold pieces and Tim casts suggestion on Mandella 

  to lose.  Mandella loses, Lachada wins the pot (20gp).  Tim buys 

  everybody drinks and food.  Lachada agrees to go to work for Rams 

  and gathers her things and pays her tab for 100gp.

• Rams learn there are consequences to clearing Libor’s bandits 

  (made an enemy of Hurloj).

• Rams reputation with the Condottieri is at -5 due to hiring the scab 

  adventurer Lachada Unfettered.

Session 34- Avenging Maliska’s Ghost.  “Tugging on his butt guts.”

7/17/2022

• Shelby heals Yaroj, who was most injured by the Smerc explosion.

• Rams explore the rest of the beet cellar before returning to the 

  courtyard and re-uniting with Geoff and Gigurg.

• Two of the three peasants in the courtyard have expired from 

  shock and vomiting after being released from the Smerc infection.  

  Rams give water to the survivor.

• Rams explore the barn and Yuri stays behind to “play.”

• Rams explore the north wing of the manor.  In the entrance hall 

  they find the dead body of Svetlana, Old Jaromir’s pen pal love 

  that Ferika was supposed to deliver love letters to her from him. 

  They encounter Maliska’s ghost in her woman cave and ask her 

  three questions.

• Where is Ritek?  Upstairs master bedroom.

• How did Maliska die?  Ritek murdered her.

• Where are the valuable items in the manor?  Upstairs master 

  bedroom, dining room, secret temple, and foreman’s quarters.

• Rams go to the upstairs of the north wing and capture Ritek in the 

  master bedroom.  They take the treasure in this room.

• Rams move to the dining room and take the treasure therein.

• Rams check the kitchen and meet Flaka, a young servant that had 

  escaped infection.  Flaka accompanies Rams throughout exploring 

  the rest of the manor.

• Rams enter the Secret Chapel of the Anti-World Turtle and take the 

  treasures they find.

• Rams clear the manor by finding the treasure in the foreman’s quarters.

• Rams visit Cinek’s wives, finding only two have survived the shock of 

  Smerc’s death, Ludka and Farka (survival confers +3 save vs. poison).  

  Fecus and Tim propose the women marry them and come with Rams, 

  but the women explain they are lovers and that they choose to remain 

  and care for their adopted children (11 remain in the village area).

• Rams visit the other cottage and the 2 tween girls choose to accompany 

  Rams to witness the punishment of Ritek.  The adults are all too high 

  on Hruz Hruz.

• 4 of the 6 peasants that had been marching around have survived.  

  They also follow Rams to witness Ritek’s punishment.

• Rams gather in the center of the hamlet and torture Ritek to death 

  by having the peasants and servants help pull his intestines out 

  through his butt.

• Rams install the priestess Danika as their agent to become the new 

  leader of Ctyri Ctvrt.  She will administrate and collect revenue for 

  the Rams while they leave on the Golden Barge for Halwic.

Session 33- In Which Rams Defeat Smerc the Beet God

7/10/2022

• Rams send Gigurg and Sasha up the Gatehouse 

  and they call for Cinek to open up the gate, which 

  he slowly does (Cinek is elderly and moves slow, 

  he smells like urine).

• Cinek welcomes Rams and offers to take them to 

  meet the master of the manor (he means the Beet God).  

  Rams agree and follow him through the gate, into the 

  courtyard, and past some peasants to the east wing where 

  the beet cellar is.

• Tim and Fecus attach ropes to themselves before descending 

  to the landing under the ground floor beet cellar.

• Cinek brings Rams into the excavated chamber where Smerc 

  rests.

• Rams begin attacking and hitting immediately, but their hits 

  are doing little damage until Geoff fires a Magic Missile.  

  Tentacle (war ocelot) and Launchpad (dog) pin Smerc’s tendrils.

• Fecus and Shelby use their silvered weapons (sword and tube?) 

  to some effect.

• On his turn, Smerc uses Suggestion to send Geoff flying away 

  on his Robin.

• Yaroj and Danika kill Cinek.

• Another round of hits with little damage on the part of Rams.

• Smerc’s second turn he uses Suggestion on Gigurg to send 

  him running from the fight.

• On the third round, Rams consider retreat, but Kruluzax throws 

  a lit torch onto Smerc and Tim uses Magic Missile for the killing 

  blow.

• Upon death, Smerc explodes and beet flesh injures (minor) all 

  the Rams left in the chamber.

• Smerc’s remains are a slightly green gem worth 5000gp and 

  has the ESP spell attached.

• Smerc killed = 3800xp

• Smerc gem = 5000xp

• Cinek killed = 6xp

Session 32- Another Crack At Ctyri Ctvrt

7/3/2022

• Sea Rams’ only encounter is witnessing the Alkonosts 

  rolling their eggs down the beach and dunking them in 

  the sea.

• When Sea Rams arrive in Ctyri Ctvrt, they stay on the 

  barge, but witness some violence between 6 peasants 

  and 3 children as the children fight their way onto the 

  dock to Onegin’s fishing boat.  The children kill 5 peasants 

  and escape with Onegin, who has been hiding on his 

  boat the whole time of the Smerc infection.

• Land Rams are spotted by a group of 4 Pelgranes 

  flying several miles north of Ctyri Ctvrt.  The Pelgranes 

  attack, but are quickly killed by the power of Rams’ ranged 

  attacks.

• Land Rams arrive in Ctyri Ctvrt and inspect an abandoned 

  cottage on the outskirts of the hamlet.  It is Freiherr Vuk’s 

  cottage, but he has fled.  Yaroj, Yuri, and Ferika search the 

  abode and Yaroj locates the hidden treasure.  Two Jade Eggs 

  (100gp each), a fine cigar of Protection from Evil, smoking works 

  as the spell, two charges, worth 150gp, two cut crystal champagne 

  glasses (20gp each), 247gp.

• Land Rams encounter 6 feisty peasants marching through the 

  hamlet with a beet banner.  Tim smooths the interaction over 

  and Rams avoid tangling with the peasants.

• At the dock, Land Rams come across a tubby peasant who tells 

  the story of the night before, when 3 children attacked him and 

  5 other peasants.  The other five are killed by the children who 

  escape in Onegin’s fishing boat.

• The Land Rams make it back to the Golden Barge and unload 

  the 5 corpses that they brought back from the bandit fight.  The 

  Ghuls are happy to see their masters.

• Fecus, Tim, Yuri, Ferika, Shelby, Geoff, Yaroj, Sasha, Kruluzax, 

  Danika, Gigurg, and Gerben go back into Ctyri Ctvrt.

• They pump the dock peasant for some info about Ritek and the 

  giant beet. 

• They pop into the Pea Garden.  Gigurg, Sasha, and Danika are 

  put under a Sleep spell by the peas.  Rams drag them out and 

  wake them up.  They all had pea and princess dreams, but are 

  otherwise fine.  Rams continue into the hamlet and check the 

  three cottages right outside the manor gate.

• First cottage, Stout Cheery Cottage, inside, hanging from rafters 

  are the 4 former residents and 7 prize hogs.  243sp and a suit 

  of splint mail are found.

• Second cottage, Peasant Cottage with Deluxe Pig Wallow, family 

  (uninfected) is barricaded in and will only open the door when 

  Geoff says he has Hruz Hruz (psychedelic snail paste).  Rams 

  get a little bit of info about the manor house.

• Third cottage, Large Yeoman’s House, 3 blue (and infected) 

  women are looking for their 14 missing children.  They tell Rams 

  their husband is Cinek the gatesman and ask Rams to come help 

  them look for the children once they have visited Smerc and 

  received his blessing.

• 4 Pelgranes killed = 260xp

• 7 peasants, confrontation avoided by Tim’s fast talking = 70xp

Session 31- New Hirelings and Bandit Hunting

6/19/2022

• Before leaving Marlinko, Tim and Fecus return to the 

  Guild of Condottieri, smooth over the fact that Branko 

  might be M.I.A. (he is actually dead, see Session #30) 

  and hire Danika and “Boy”

• On their way out of town, 3 beggars approach RAMs 

  and Tim gives them each 1gp while Fecus curbs his 

  impulse to trample the indigents.  The beggars deliver 

  the following rumors to the party:

• The Stiffbind Circus will be running shows this 

  week in the Tomb-Plaza of the Town Gods.

• Renowned highwayman, Libor the Lugubrious, 

  is working the main road south of Marlinko again.

• Bohumir, a salt merchant from Ostrovo, has been 

  spreading a wild tale about a wrong turn he took 

  on a cantonal trade road ten miles southeast of 

  Marlinko.

• Jumping at the chance to make “easy” gold, RAMs split 

  the party with Sillai, Baldwin, Pavol, Alezbta, Gigurg, Boy, 

  Andrew and the 2 Ghuls remaining on the Golden Barge 

  and “sailing” down to Ctyri Ctvrt to meet the rest of the party.

• Tim+puppies, Fecus+Launchpad+Tentacle, Yuri, Ferika, 

  Geoff, Shelby, Kruluzax, Yaroj, Sasha, Danika, Ornie, and 

  Gerben take the Warvette and the wagon to hunt bandits 

  on the road south of Marlinko

• At first, the only encounters for the RAMs traveling the road 

  are a light rain and an old Pahr Shrine

• RAMs find a campsite and set watches

• Libor the Lugubrious and his 20 bandits attack during first watch, 

  but RAMs are alert and get the first devastating artillery shots fired

• A protracted fight ensues with 6 bandits trying to retreat after 

  witnessing the prowess of RAMs (Magic! Artillery! Melee!), 

  but RAMs chase them down and kill them all, taking their 

  heads as proof of job completion

• RAMs travel back to Marlinko and turn the heads into the 

  city watch and receive their reward, 1000gp for Libor and 

  1000gp for his 20 bandits

• Rams do a little healing and head back down the road to 

  Ctyri Ctvrt 

• Libor the Lugubrious killed = 65xp

• 20 bandits killed = 200xp
